Telehealth Platform Reviews

Telehealth is one of the few categories where the marketing claim and the clinician experience diverge enormously. Every vendor says they are HIPAA-compliant. The real question is whether the BAA is signed, whether session audio is encrypted at the right layer, and whether the platform survives a typical client's home WiFi.

Reviews in this category will test the platforms that mental-health clinicians actually use: Doxy.me, SimplePractice's telehealth module, the EHR-integrated options on TherapyNotes and Valant, and the stand-alone HIPAA-grade video platforms aimed at small private practices. Latency under load, screen-share reliability, the quality of the waiting-room experience for a client in distress.
